Up in the Air
If you are travelling by air to the city of Saskatoon and want to avoid long waits and traffic snarls, it helps to look for hotels near the airport. Not only will your head hit the pillow that much sooner if arriving late, you’ll be able to sneak in a few extra winks before catching your flight home. On the Road
While downtown Saskatoon is a great place to visit, you may want to avoid staying there when on business. The city’s core is connected by a number of bridges, with the recent construction of the new Traffic Bridge and the Chief Mistawasis Bridge. While this has greatly improved the city’s infrastructure, traversing the South Saskatchewan River can still sometimes lead to traffic jams. It is also a great place to learn about the area’s indigenous population, go for a leisurely walk, look at the numerous displays, and enjoy a meal in the centre’s restaurant, offering First Nations-inspired cuisine.
